GENERAL DRINKWARE QUESTIONS

Is There BPA In My OneVessel?

All of our products, lids, and accessories are free of BPA (Bisphenol A).

Where Is My Drinkware Made?

Unless otherwise noted as being made in the USA, our products are ethically produced in China. Our factories are both ISO 9001 and 12001 compliant for environmental and labor practices, and we have company representatives visit our factories regularly.

Otherwise, a selection of our glassware is made in the USA (with select lids made in Mexico).

Our designs are printed domestically.

What Kind Of Ink Is Printed On The Drinkware?

Every oneVessel product is BPA-Free and printed domestically.  All inks and glazes we use meet FDA and Proposition 65 standards. Be sure to hand-wash drinkware to protect the ink, as it may rub off in the dishwasher.

Who Can Use OneVessel?

Our products are intended for humans age 12 and older.

Can I Put Carbonated Beverages In My Drinkware?

Carbonated beverages generate pressure and may cause a piece to pop open, shoot liquid, or damage your drinkware and surrounding personal items. Please use caution and only drink or store carbonated beverages in unsealed containers.

Can I Put My Bottle Or Tumbler In My Bag?

Although some of our lids are spill resistant, we strongly recommend that you never place a drinking container inside of a purse or bag.

Can I Use My Stainless Drinkware Right Away?

Hand wash your bottles & tumblers in warm soapy water before use. To ensure the longevity of the exterior finish of your drinkware, please be sure to hand wash only. The food-safe paint may deteriorate in some dishwashers. For an initial cleaning, stainless steel bottles are cleaned easily with baking soda or distilled vinegar. Do not submerge our double-wall tumblers under water, as water may become stuck between the walls.

There's A Brown Spot On My Bottle...

If you notice a brown spot on your stainless steel, don't worry! It's a spot caused by iron that is occasionally present in the manufacturing of stainless steel (hence stain-less, not stain-proof). This is not a corrosive kind of rust you may find on a vintage car, only a surface blemish from the iron. These marks typically come off very easily with the application of a metal cleaner like Barkeepers Friend, or a solution of vinegar and baking powder.

What Temperatures Of Liquids Are Safe?

Double wall Tumbler: Hot or cold drinks (temperature varies by piece).
Single wall Bottles: Cold drinks only.

What Types Of Liquids Can Go Inside?

Our tumblers and bottles are safe for acidic drinks (such as orange juice). However, the products may require a more extensive cleaning than soap and water. If you're having trouble getting the taste out, we recommend cleaning with vinegar and baking soda.

Carbonated beverages can build up pressure and may break sealed bottles and tumblers. If you would like to enjoy carbonated beverages, we suggest using a non-sealed product like our stainless cup with silicone lid.

My Silicone Lid Smells!

You can run your new silicone lid through the dishwasher a few times if you notice any strong smells.

STAINLESS

  • Do not microwave or freeze.
  • Double wall: Safe for hot or cold drinks (temperature varies by piece).

Can I Use My Drinkware Right Away?

Hand wash your tumbler with warm soapy water before use. To ensure the longevity of the exterior finish of your drinkware, please be sure to hand wash only. The food-safe paint may deteriorate in some dishwashers.

Our acrylic tumblers (excluding the flip-up straw tumblers) are safe for carbonated beverages, but use caution as pressure buildup could cause liquid to shoot out.

What Temperatures Of Liquids Are Safe?

Body: Drinks 160°F and under.

Straw: Hot drinks may damage your straw, so we suggest using the straw for cold drinks only or wait for your drink to cool down a bit. If you notice any cracks or warping, discontinue use.

How Durable Are The Straws?

The straws are not meant to be chewed on. If you chew on a straw or apply pressure to it you may crack it. Inspect your straw frequently and discontinue the use of it if you notice any hairline cracks.

We recommend using the straw in cool or average liquids as it may warp in higher temperatures. Spare straws can be purchased at our online store.

How Can I Keep My Straw Clean?

Straws should be hand washed. Soaking your straw in soapy water, espresso descaler or using a solution of baking soda and vinegar are pretty effective.

Can I Use My Glass Drinkware Right Away?

What Types Of Liquids Can Go Inside?

Our tumblers and bottles are safe for acidic drinks (such as orange juice). However, the products may require a more extensive cleaning than soap and water. If you're having trouble getting the taste out, we recommend cleaning with vinegar and baking soda.

Carbonated beverages can build up pressure and may break the piece. If you would like to enjoy carbonated beverages, we suggest using a non-sealed product like our pint glass.

Take care when adding ice to glass bottles and tumblers. Make sure to gently place ice after the liquid to help prevent breakage.

My Lid Isn't Sealing!

Because of how glass products are made, there are slight variations in height, thickness, and weight; so occasionally a lid may not create a tight seal. If you ever have this problem, let us know!

We strongly recommend that you never place a drinking container inside of a purse or backpack.

Is The Glass Breakable?

Please handle with care. When adding ice to the double-wall glass, we recommend placing ice in after the liquid to help prevent breakage. As with other double-wall glass mugs, glasses and tumblers, since the inner wall is suspended in air, ice dropped inside may cause the glass to fracture or shatter. (Think of it as dropping a rock... ouch!)

What Temperatures Of Liquids Are Safe?

Glass Tumbler: 180°F and below.
Glass Bottle: For your safety, cold drinks only.

How Do I Use My Removable Strainer?

The double-wall glass tumbler comes with an optional stainless steel strainer that is excellent for filtering loose leaf tea, lemon, and other drink inclusions. To use the strainer, adjust the side tabs for the best fit. Do not force the strainer into place. For your safety, insert the strainer before adding hot liquids. Keep the tumbler upright and do not steep or store upside-down with liquids.
